This report explores the significance of Afghan traders for Tajikistan’s economy, documenting the specific commodities Afghans bring to and export from Tajikistan, and the routes along which these move. It also documents the key problems and barriers that Afghan traders living and working in Tajikistan see as most affecting their lives, and note some of the opportunities they envision for future trade projects.
