This paper looks at how conditional cash transfer (CCT) programs in Brazil, Colombia and Chile have addressed gender vulnerabilities in these respective countries. It first gives and overview of how gender inequalities and vulnerabilities evolved in the three countries. It then analyzes the specific CCT programs - Bolsa Familia in Brazil, Familias en Acción in Colombia, and Chile Solidario in Chile - and how they fit into the overall social protection system of each country.
