The Palestine Mandate was a legal commission for the administration of Palestine that came into came into effect on September 26, 1923. The mandate was born out of the ambitions of the British and their promises to the French, Arabs and Zionists, as set forth in the Balfour declaration, the Sykes Picot Agreement and the McMahon Correspondence.
