This paper is an overview of US-South Korea relations and suggests that since late 2008, ties between the two have been arguable at their best state in decades. In particular, the authors examine the history of relations between the two countries, as well as their ties in connection with North Korea, Japan, China, Iran, security, nuclear energy and non-proliferation cooperation, economic links, as well as the US-South Korea alliance.
