On November 29-30, 2010, the International Peace Institute (IPI), in partnership with the Pearson Peacekeeping Centre, hosted a two-day roundtable in New York City to launch a collaborative series, Being a Peacekeeper: The Challenges and Opportunities of 21st-Century Peace Operations. This initial roundtable brought together existing and emerging troop- and police-contributing countries in an informal setting to allow for an open and candid exchange of experiences, successes, concerns, and challenges.
