Just three years ago, the debate about the Iraq war was about how to mitigate the worst consequences of possible defeat. With the dramatic changes since then, we can legitimately discuss the extraordinary opportunity to see a stable, secure, prosperous and imperfectly democratic Iraq emerge in the Middle East. Now is not the time for America’s commitment to that outcome to waver.
