India is reaching out: its private sector is doing so aggressively, carving out markets for itself globally, investing widely, and subsuming industrial and service icons of other regions. With the emergence of the Group of Twenty (G20) leaders in 2008 as a key assembly of significant countries, India was offered an opportunity to play a major global role.
