This publication provides a summary of SDA's round table meeting looking at how Europe can tackle the problems caused by the fragmentation of its security market. New initiatives by the European Commission such as the Internal Security Strategy and the public policy consultations launched in March were welcomed. Speakers also emphasized the need for closer cooperation between the private and public sector and, from the European side, the importance of including privacy requirements into the development of new technology.
