This conference report summarizes the proceedings of the SDA's May 2005 conference on the future of NATO, jointly organized with the Konrad Adenauer Stiftung. The panelists discuss the extent to which NATO needs to be reformed and restructured; NATO's role in transatlantic defense industry cooperation; and the implications for NATO of developments within the EU, such as the formulation of the European Security and Defense Policy and the Common Foreign and Security Policy.
