This roundtable report summarizes the proceedings of the SDA's June 2005 conference on the protection of Europe's critical infrastructure, held only days before the 7 July terrorist attacks in London. The panelists discuss how best to protect Europe's national landmarks and infrastructural nerve centers against terrorism; what the various protection measures are likely to cost; and the extent to which Europe is developing a homeland defense industry specializing in countering new threats.
