This roundtable report summarizes the proceedings of the SDA's January 2005 conference on the status of the transatlantic defense marketplace. The panelists consider transatlantic defense partnerships, and whether they add up to the "two-way street" in defense trade that NATO's European and American partners have long pledged to one another. They also discuss whether transatlantic defense partnerships will ever be equal, given the imbalances between Europe and the US in defense spending and technology.
