This bioterrorism report summarizes the proceedings of the SDA's April 2005 Bioterrorism Reporting Group meeting on joint EU-US strategies to counter biological terrorism. The panelists discuss the various similarities and differences between the American and European biodefence programs; the role of technology in the identification and detection of pathogens and agents; opportunities for collaboration and information sharing; and the exchange of lessons learned between the EU and the United States on issues of civilian biodefence. The report also includes written contributions from selected speakers.
