The ‘reset’ policy proposed by the USA has brought Russia a number of geopolitical, prestigious and economic benefits. Yet the changes which have taken place in Russian-US relations are not durable, argues the author. The two parties have not resolved their major disputes and any differences are hushed up for tactical reasons alone.
