This report distills the results a roundtable discussion held in early December 2011, on how to protect global trade better. In particular, it elaborates on 1) the possibility of imposing 100% scanning protocols for shipped goods, 2) integrating the transportion policies of various actors more tightly together, 3) promoting international and cross-sectorial cooperation on trade security, and 4) how to work towards a truly secure transnational supply chain.
