This report distills the topics that were analyzed and discussed at the 4th annual Security and Defense Day, which occurred on 7 November 2011, in Brussels, Belgium. The eight particular issues that were addressed include the following: 1) securing Europe's neighborhood, 2) security cooperation between France-Germany-Poland, 3) improving Europe's 'situational awareness,' 4) strengthening its crisis management capabilities, 5) reinforcing EU efforts to improve its defense and security technologies, 6) pooling and sharing security-related resources, 7) improving European cyber-defenses, and 8) enhancing the continent's maritime defenses.
