This paper discusses the arrest warrants issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC) in June 2011 in relation to the situation in Libya. These arrest warrants have been of major concern to the African Union (AU). The author discusses the relationship between the ICC and the AU with regard to the unrest in Libya and the wider implications for region.
