This brief discusses the escalation of tensions on the Korean peninsula which it attributes to North Korea's provocations and the failed reunification talks. The author analyzes the inter-Korean dialogue and its importance for a meaningful multilateral dialogue, which he considers instrumental for peace and reconciliation, as well as the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula.
