This paper analyzes the potential impact and repercussions of the Niger Delta crisis on Nigeria's elections in 2007. The author reports on the concern over election fraud arguing that this could plunge the country into a bloody chaos. He explores various scenarios that could emerge and gives policy recommendations for the Nigerian government, the oil companies as well as for concerned global citizens and advocacy groups.
