This paper reports on a seminar exploring the current political, economic and social situation in Haiti and Norway’s objectives in its cooperation with Haiti to ensure stability. Six areas are considered crucial for the long-term stabilization and development of Haiti: agriculture, disaster preparedness, economic growth, political dialogue and reconciliation, youth education, and strengthening institutions. The author argues that these areas are interrelated and improvements in each will contribute to the overall stability of the country.
