Despite their tarnished image, private military and security companies (PMSCs) continue to feature in almost every African conflict. This collection of papers presents various perspectives on the use of PMSCs in African conflicts and examine the unregulated nature of this use, arguing it often results in PMSCs violating human rights with impunity.
