The Global Corruption Report 2005 was published by Transparency International and focuses on corruption in construction and post-conflict reconstruction. It features a number of papers written by experts on global corruption and includes a detailed analysis of corruption activities in Iraq. The report also describes and analyzes the mechanisms, environmental risks, and economic costs of corruption in construction projects. It further investigates the role of multilateral development banks and export credit agencies in financing corruption. The report concludes with a detailed assessment of the state of corruption in 40 countries. It features a foreword written by Francis Fukuyama and is available in English, Spanish, and French.
