Written in February 2012, this policy brief discusses attempts at intra-Palestinian reconciliation. It reviews and compares the recent economic and political developments in the West Bank and Gaza, as well as the effect of the Arab Spring on the agreement signed between Abbas and Hamas’s exiled leader, Khalid Meshal in Doha. The author contends that the prospects for the Doha agreement succeeding are bleak, but not beyond the realm of the possible.
