The paper examines changes in the Global Peace Index (GPI) scores highlighting regional and sub-regional trends and movements in specific indicators as well as changes that have been observed in economic groupings of countries such as the OECD, G20, or BRIC. Overall, it contends, the world has become slightly less peaceful over the four years since the GPI’s original publication in 2007.
