This monograph addresses the challenge that US policymakers face in managing relations with numerous regional allies, including Israel and a host of moderate Arab states. These states have highly divergent agendas and respond to different domestic and international pressures in seeking to influence US policy. The various regional concerns and interests are also analyzed in the monograph. The importance of the Palestinian question is also discussed.
