This commentary analyzes Slovenia’s foreign policy towards the EU Eastern Neighborhood. Slovenia’s position on sanctions against Belarus shows that while having little interest in an eastern-focused policy, economic relations with the area covered by it remain significant. The author argues that Poland should strengthen bilateral and regional cooperation with countries that do not see EU actions towards eastern partners as a priority.
