In this paper, the author focuses on China’s involvement in Myanmar and tries to underline its specific economic and political goals. Finally, the author argues that China’s support for the Myanmar regime transition and integration with Asia, which preserves stability in the region, should be used by the EU to encourage Myanmar toward further modernization.
