In this paper, the author discusses the Czech Republic's European policy which distances itself from deepening political and economic integration. At the same time, fearing marginalization, the Czechs actively support initiatives for economic growth and the EU's Multiannual Financial Framework, 2014–2020. The author concludes that Poland should use its upcoming presidency of the Visegrad Group to maintain Czech support for two crucial issues: a high EU budget and strong cohesive policy.
