This conflict analysis was conducted to better understand the factors driving political conflict related to the 2007 presidential elections in Kenya. Following revelations of voting irregularities Kenya experienced waves of inter-ethnic violence that left 1,300 dead and half a million people displaced. In the aftermath of the violence the country has attempted enacting wide-ranging legal and institutional reform. So far progress has been fair, but delays and disagreements have arisen in crucial areas.
