In January 2011 Hungary assumed the Presidency of the European Union (EU). This paper evaluates how the first Hungarian Presidency has performed. The evaluation starts with the initial priorities of Hungary, continues with the preparations and unforeseen challenges it has encountered in its first four months and, finally, looks at the concrete results achieved so far.
