This issue of Russia in Global Affairs assembles articles and commentaries on the question of what has become of Russia following 15 years of reforms. Whereas other transition countries in Central and Eastern Europe have a distinct foreign policy goal - EU membership - Russia's situation is more difficult: NATO or EU membership is not on Russia's agenda, while the enthusiasm about a partnership with its European neighbors has markedly subsided. This issue thus gives particular emphasis to Russia's foreign policy.
