This paper considers some current proposals for integrating inequality into the post-2015 global framework for development. There exists a growing consensus among states, United Nations (UN) agencies and civil society organizations that equality, one of the core values of the UN's Millennium Declaration, needs to be integrated. The author recognizes that the process of developing and negotiating the new framework requires thinking about what that policy agenda should be, how to incentivize governments and other actors to act on it, and how to measure progress.
