This paper discusses possibilities to resolve the conflict in Transnistria. It explores the conflict's changing circumstances and describes how they led to a turn in Moldova's strategic orientation. The author further explains why resolving the Transnistria problem matters today and what hurdles continue to block its resolution. Finally, the paper proposes ways to craft a solution that is not only beneficial for Moldova and Transnistria, but also for Kiev, Moscow, Washington, and Brussels.
