This report looks at how the Norwegian Armed Forces (NAF) can attract more women nationally as a way to increase the pool of female personnel for international operations. It states that recruitment and retention strategies must be gender sensitive, mission specific, and based on unique Scandinavian context. The author argues that female military personnel increases operational effectiveness and is crucial to the success of operations.
