This paper examines the strategic options available for the Kosovo region. In order to consider what alternatives the Euro-Atlantic community might have in this troubled region, the authors focus on three interrelated themes: the current "facts on the ground" in Kosovo, as seen from Belgrade and Pristina; possible final status options for the area; and recommended next steps for NATO-led international forces (KFOR) operating there. They conclude that the possibility of resolving the "frozen conflict" in Kosovo is very high.
