This paper focuses on Turkey's contribution to Euro-Atlantic security within the context of its role in NATO. It takes into account the changing nature of post-Cold War risks and threats to the Alliance, and outlines the Turkish position on developments in the Balkans, the Southern Caucasus, Central Asia, Afghanistan, Russia, and the Black Sea region. The author also discusses Turkey's position in NATO and its potential role in the EU.
