It analyzes the environmental cost of human success and characterizes Asia as a microcosm of the world. The next parts look deeper into potential trends affecting Asia's environment, China as an Asian trendsetter and the role that USAID can play. The author concludes that Asia requires a renewed commitment to sustainability on all fronts.
