This case study provides an overview of perspectives on territorial and boundary issues in South Serbia, near the administrative boundary with Kosovo and Metohija. Underdevelopment is the biggest challenge facing this community. Participants in the region stated that society is divided along ethnic lines. Other problems include the fact that degrees awarded in Kosovo are not recognized outside its boundaries, the prolonged presence of armed forces in this region, and the lack of freedom of movement.
