This report examines the political, economic, and social conditions in Nigeria and their development under President Goodluck Jonathan. Although he campaigned on a ‘transformation agenda', many of the promised forms were not enacted. Anti-corruption efforts remain largely ineffective. Meanwhile, an Islamist terrorist insurgency has gathered pace in the north since April.
