This policy brief discusses the trade relationship between the EU and India in the context of the Eurozone crisis and declines in India's growth rate. While India has genuine concerns over how free trade will affect poor and vulnerable communities, the author contends that trade liberalization with Europe will be beneficial overall. This brief suggests ways in which outstanding concerns can be resolved to the mutual benefit of both parties.
