This paper outlines three different ways in which the private sector could be engaged in a renewed agreement on the Millennium Development Goals (MDG) after 2015. Firstly, business could contribute to the development of the framework to ensure that it maximises the contribution companies can make to growth and development. Secondly, business could make pledges and commitments which are attached to specific goals and donors could strengthen partnerships with business to deliver these goals. Finally, business could improve reporting on its contribution to development goals.
