This study examines the impact of the financial crisis and of Group of Twenty (G20) reform on trade in financial services in the Southern African Development Community (SADC) region. It focuses specifically on corporate, trade and project finance from the standpoint of the biggest banks in South Africa. The objective is to understand the effects, if any, on the SADC services negotiations, taking Botswana as a case study.
