This document examines the way in which Turkish foreign policy has adapted its priorities and its conceptual architecture to a turbulent regional context. According to the author the lexicon of Turkey’s foreign policy reflects the systemic changes made since the end of the Cold War, as well as the doctrinal contributions by foreign affairs minister Davutoğlu. The brief argues that the evolution of the Syrian crisis is likely to remain the greatest challenge for Turkish foreign policy in the months to come as it will determine whether the adaptation will suffice or if a deeper policy review is needed.
