This article examines US-EU cooperation in the Mediterranean, which is likely to be a key test for the transatlantic partnership, according to the authors. The Mediterranean holds an extraordinary concentration of issues of concern to Washington and on both sides of the Atlantic there is a keen interest in building on the 'Obama bounce' and reinvigorating transatlantic cooperation.
