This paper addresses the significant role diaspora remittance contributions play in developing countries. The author also provides several policy recommendations for donors on how to support the contribution of migrants. These include reducing the transfer costs of remittances, providing support to diaspora organizations, supporting knowledge and resource transfer through temporary return migration, and working for increased policy coherence.
