Conclusions from the NATO Chicago Summit indicate that, at the next meeting, only Montenegro might be invited to join. The author argues that the alliance should seek consensus in accepting the other western Balkan countries aspiring to NATO membership. Furthermore, Poland should use its presidency of the Visegrad Group to support the Euro-Atlantic aspirations of these countries.
