This report provides practical recommendations for Georgia's new government and the international community. It suggests steps during the first 100 days of President Saakashvili's administration to mitigate crisis and build momentum for reform. The author urges the international community, led by the United States, to do its part to support Georgia's transition to a prosperous, stable, and democratic country. He outlines a number of steps the US and the international community can take to bolster President Mikhail Saakashvili, including providing emergency assistance to the Saakashvili government, and pressing Russia to internationalize its troop presence in Georgia and close its military bases.
