This research project seeks to improve the understanding of how youth entrepreneurship support initiatives need to be adapted in different contexts in order to maximize impact. Context is increasingly being recognized as a significant determinant, but significant gaps in knowledge exist about what approaches are most effective, why, and in what contexts. With scarce resources, governments, donors and NGOs need to improve their understanding of which youth entrepreneurship support interventions are likely to have the greatest impact. To facilitate this assessment, the authors developed a framework for analysis, which distinguishes between the drivers and enablers of entrepreneurship.
