In this testimony, the speaker considers whether US Special Operations Forces (SOF) is balanced between direct and indirect operational approaches to achieve strategic objectives; how current authorities, resourcing, and force structure should change to better enable SOF to deal with emerging challenges and integrate SOF into the Joint Force of 2020; and what changes should be considered to US Special Operations Command and the interagency to enable SOF to remain agile, globally persistent and aligned with national strategy.
