This discussion paper talks about the results of the 2012 Rio+20 Summit. The author argues that some modest achievements were made in the areas of sustainable development and poverty eradication, the Institutional Framework for Sustainable Development, and Sustainable Development Goals. However, many criticisms also exist about the misleading agenda, unclear process, slow negotiations, and lack of leadership both of the Rio+20 Secretariat and the host country, Brazil.
