This brief looks at the effect of the eurozone crisis on the EU's democratization agenda. The authors argue that the eurozone crisis has not had a negative impact on this agenda, this does not appear to be happening according to the authors. The Council of the EU recently adopted the first Strategic Framework and Action Plan on Human Rights and Democracy and the European Endowment for Democracy was formally approved.
